Christmas 2024 Update - New Residents

The hurricane season in October of this year brought us THREE new cats here at Penny’s. Terrance, a kitten, was found running around terrified as the floods came in from Milton.

Luna and Oreo, two older ladies, were abandoned just as Hurricane Helene rolled in, and a local shelter was desperate to place them someplace safe as a bonded pair.

And from Christmas Eve through Christmas night, our rockstar mother hen hatched ELEVEN Christmas chicks!

It’s going to be an interesting Spring, to say the least! We have some chicken coop projects in our near future.

Henry, Bert, and Ernie spent their first Christmas at Penny’s. All the dogs and cats got a steak dinner, and the dogs received new toys.

It was also first Christmas for five of the cats here, and the piggy mamas. The cats got toys and the piggies got special dinner snacks.

As always, please feel free to donate to support the work that Penny’s Hospice does. We presently have 6 dog residents, 10 cats, 2 pigs, 1 ferret, and now SIXTEEN chickens - LOL!
