A Place for Abandoned Senior Pets

Penny’s Hospice exists to provide a loving sanctuary to animals who have been abandoned or orphaned. We focus on senior pets, who are the least likely to get adopted when they find themselves in shelters.

Penny’s Hospice is a 501c3 organization.

Seniors are the first to be euthanized and the last to be adopted.

We believe every animal deserves to spend their last days knowing comfort, love, and safety. We extend this sentiment to cats, dogs and beyond, accommodating non-domestic friends such as pigs, chickens, and wildlife. Your support means we can provide crucial medical care, accommodation and love to pets who would have otherwise perished in the streets or in a shelter.

Meet Penny

Penny was the inspiration for our mission. She came to us a hospice foster (“fospice”). She was found living outside, riddled with cancerous tumors and numerous skin conditions. She was rescued by Humans & Animals United Rescue after she wound up on the euthanasia list in a Miami shelter. Penny’s doctors gave her 2 weeks to live. We had her for 6 months. She filled our hearts with immense love, and inspired us to give more innocent souls like her a chance at happiness.
